President's Welcome – 2014 Conference

On behalf of the Pennsylvania Association of Educational Office Professionals, I would like to welcome you to our Annual Spring Conference at a new venue, the Holiday Inn – Harrisburg East, where we anticipate a comfortable and quality conference experience. By offering both full conference registrations, in addition to daily options for Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, we hope we have met the needs of our colleagues from the various areas throughout the state.

First-time attendees, we extend a special welcome to you. We trust your conference experience will be positive, and offer you professional development knowledge that will enable you to return to your office/school with new resources and expanded skills.

Welcome back to our returning attendees, as it is always nice to see familiar faces, network with the talented educational office professionals from Pennsylvania and so see the many friends made by attending past conferences.
Through the extraordinary work of the Conference Planning Committee over the past year, under the direction of President-Elect/Conference Planning Chair Lynelle Fitzmier CEOE, we hope to offer each of you a conference experience in which you will Innovate Change…Drive Growth by expanding your professional growth, network with other educational office professionals and share in some fun and laughter as well.

We open the conference on Wednesday evening with the Annual Business Meeting, where we will discuss important association business. We will then segue into our opening session where Keynote Speaker Marilyn Walker will certainly provide a dynamic and energetic session. The evening will close with a reception with light refreshments, music and fun for all to enjoy.

A diverse selection of speakers has been chosen for our Thursday educational sessions to meet everyone's learning needs. In addition, during our Thursday lunch, we will recognize first timers, Pennsylvania Professional Standards Program recipients and State Educational Affiliates. We will close with door prizes and raffles.

Thursday evening's banquet will include entertainment, scholarship winner(s), and recognition of special individuals and the installation of the 2014-16 Executive Board of Directors.

Back by popular demand, we will offer roundtable sessions on Friday morning organized by educational office professionals' working environments. After a short break, the award-winning author of Lunch with Lucille and member of the International Speakers Network, Annarose Ingarra-Milch, will be the closing speaker and will share how we will be able to get our ROI – Return on Investment!

Prior to saying farewell to our fellow educational officer professionals, we will have the final raffles, which include the spectacular baskets.

I hope you enjoy your PAEOP Annual Spring Conference experience and encourage you to seek out the Executive Board members during the conference to ask questions or simply introduce yourself and say hello.

Bonnie J. Miller, CEOE,  PAEOP President
