Legal Services

If a school entity has a need, chances are that PSBA has a service, expert or program to meet that need.

The PSBA legal department offers public school entities a broad range of indispensable legal information and assistance.

Staff attorneys stay abreast of the latest developments in public school law and liability avoidance strategies, and are experienced in advising and representing public schools in litigation and legal matters. As a benefit of PSBA membership, these attorneys are available -- free of charge -- for consultation to member solicitors, school directors and administrators on general legal concepts, as well as on specific issues facing their districts.

Continuing Legal Education
PSBA offers a variety of school law training programs -- from expert-level programs geared to school officials and solicitors, to programs for non-attorney school personnel and boards. PSBA programs often provide continuing legal education credits. PSBA members receive special notice of upcoming programs and discounts on all registration fees.
