Daniel O’Keefe has served as a member of the Northgate Board of School Directors for more than 18 years, including three years as board president, two years as vice president and eight years as treasurer. O’Keefe has been a member of the PSBA Governing Board since 2014, initially for seven years as the at-large representative from the western area of Pennsylvania. O’Keefe is also a member of the A. W. Beattie Career Center Joint Operating Committee, currently serving as president, and a member of the Allegheny Intermediate Unit Board, serving from 2015–19 and 2020 to present. He earned an accreditation as a PSBA Master School Board Director in 2011 and maintains the status of Active Accredited School Director Leader through PSBA continuing education requirements. A graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh and the FBI Citizens' Academy-Pittsburgh, and currently serving on the board of directors for the FBI Citizens’ Academy Alumni Association, O’Keefe has deep commitment to his community. He has been involved in many community organizations in the past, including one-on-one work with the children at Holy Family Institute; serving on the board of governors of the North Hills Arts Festival; serving in church leadership and education programs; and volunteering within his school district. O’Keefe has a Bachelor of Science degree in business management and has worked in project management positions for both manufacturing and engineering service organizations and in purchasing management for a global manufacturer. O’Keefe and his wife, Theresa, have three grown children.
