Andrea Christoff has always been a staunch advocate of public education. When her two children began their school careers in the Mount Union Area School District (Huntingdon Co.), she became involved as a classroom volunteer and parent-teacher organization member. Upon her exposure to public education, and possessing the belief that all students deserve a well-rounded education, she decided to take the next step and campaigned for a seat on the local school board. Christoff became a member of the Mount Union Area School District Board of Education in December 2007 and has continued to serve to this day. She is currently the vice president of the board, chairperson of the Title IX Committee, and a member of the Personnel Committee. Christoff has also been a member of the Huntingdon County Career and Technology Center Joint Operating Committee (JOC) since December 2012. She is currently the chairperson of the JOC and a member of the Finance, Building/Grounds, and Curriculum/Personnel committees. Presently, Christoff is a member of the PSBA Governing Board and is a sectional advisor for Section 6. Christoff firmly believes in the importance of continuing one’s education. She regularly attends the PSBA School Leadership Conference and other PSBA-sponsored programs to expand her knowledge of public education.
