School Policy
Policymaking is a primary responsibility of a board of school directors. Developing and maintaining effective policies that comprise both local specifications and ever-changing state and federal laws and regulations is a difficult, time-consuming task.
PSBA offers expert policy services tailored for school districts, intermediate units, vocational schools and career and technology centers, as well as administrative regulations guides to assist administrators with implementing board policy. All policy service options are designed to comply with federal and state laws and regulations, applicable court and arbitration decisions and recommended best practices. More than 550 school entities currently benefit from membership in PSBA’s policy services. PSBA provides members with a user-friendly web-based program where users enjoy integrated policy management, a searchable policy database, public access to an online policy manual and quick access to legal links.
