Each member entity is entitled to appoint a board member to serve as an essential point of contact between PSBA and the local school board. All liaisons receive Liaison EDition, an exclusive email newsletter covering relevant and timely education topics.

The PSBA School Board Secretaries Forum provides networking and professional development opportunities for all board secretaries. Members receive a quarterly newsletter and an invitation to the annual conference.

PSBA is the only approved statewide Act 55 training provider, assisting members in the compliance of mandated training requirements. PSBA offers both new and advanced school director training as a live option or an online course sequence.
Presentations, board workshops and retreats, and extended training partnerships are available to members on-site and digitally. Customization of these professional development programs is available.
PSBA offers members a variety of live education and networking events throughout the year. Events include Equity Summit, Start Strong, Board Leadership Workshop Series and Sectional Meetings. Registration is available on myPSBA.org.
Earn digital badges and certifications to demonstrate your commitment to professional development through our comprehensive, online learning focused on the learning needs of school directors.

PSBA offers expert policy services tailored for school districts, intermediate units and career and technology centers to maintain compliance, as well as administrative regulations (AR) templates to assist administrators with implementing board policy. Members of PSBA’s Policy Service or Policy/AR Service receive regular updates throughout the subscription year as a result of changes to state and federal laws, regulations and court decisions.

Accredited PSBA CLE programs offer licensed attorneys an opportunity to satisfy mandatory CLE requirements by engaging in expert-level presentations focused on emerging issues arising in Pennsylvania school law practice. Annual events include Spring Legal Roundup, Solicitors Symposium and School Law Workshop.
Membership in PSBSA is the most effective way for attorneys representing public schools to network, share ideas and expertise, and to stay abreast of current issues, case law, legislation and other developments in education and local government law impacting public schools.

Awards and Recognition
This award is named in honor of the first African American school board president in the United States. Day was a member of the PA State Director’s Association, the predecessor of PSBA.
