Technological innovation continues to disrupt every aspect of our lives, including how we work, how we interact and how learning takes place in our schools. The disruption and opportunity of online learning has accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic. This presentation will focus on how technology should be used to enhance learning while still building relationships, developing empathy and helping our students be socially and emotionally well.

About the Speaker

Michael Soskil, the 2017-18 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year, has worked with educators, students and government officials around the world to balance technology and humanity in our education systems. The book he co-authored, Teaching in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, has been translated into multiple languages and endorsed by international leaders in government, education and business. He is a recipient of the U.S. Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching, and in 2016 was named one of the top 10 teachers in the world and a Global Teacher Prize finalist by the late Dr. Stephen Hawking.
