Critical Race Theory Information
In some parts of the state and nation, Critical Race Theory has become a hot button issue. PSBA has received numerous requests for additional information and clarification of Critical Race Theory. We have developed an information sheet for use by districts as they navigate this often confusing and controversial topic.
At the end of the day, PSBA encourages and celebrates a civil discourse within boards and the broader local communities they are elected to serve. No one person or group has all of the answers – only working together can a community find the right solutions. When engaged citizens share their concerns with their school boards in a respectful and constructive dialogue, school districts can meet local expectations and continue to provide every student with a world-class education.
