Gov. Shapiro to deliver state budget address March 7
On Tuesday, March 7, Gov. Josh Shapiro will present his 2023-24 state budget proposal to the General Assembly. First-term governors have an additional month to present their budget proposals. The governor has not yet indicated what funding levels or initiatives will be included in his spending plan. Following the governor’s budget address, the Appropriations Committees of the Senate and House of Representatives are expected to conduct separate hearings with state cabinet secretaries and other agency leaders to discuss specific parts of the proposal.
