Apply for Keystone Classroom Initiative to benefit your elementary school
In 2026, America will celebrate its 250th anniversary as a nation. As the commonwealth in which the Declaration of Independence was signed, Pennsylvania played an important role in that historic occasion. To help the public commemorate this milestone, the Pennsylvania Commission for the United States Semiquincentennial Act of 2018 established the America250PA campaign to coordinate and promote efforts to celebrate Pennsylvania’s key role in the birth of our nation. Each year through 2026, the campaign's Keystone Classroom Initiative will provide America-themed coloring books and crayons — plus a special presentation by an age-appropriate historical reenactor, storyteller, mascot, or local celebrity — to several K-4 elementary schools around the commonwealth. To apply to receive these benefits for your students, complete the online application. The 2022-23 school year participation application will be open through November 15, 2022.
