PSBA working to address mental health challenges
As students have returned to in-person instruction, one of the most pressing needs facing school leaders has been addressing the mental health needs of their students. PSBA is calling for an investment from the General Assembly that adequately recognizes the critical mental health needs of students by providing direct funding which school districts could use to provide additional mental health staff and services that best meets the needs of their students and communities. In addition, PSBA is partnering with the county groups that are seeking increased funding to deliver critical mental health services that are part of a larger system of care that extends beyond the county walls to schools, family services, medical care and more.
