Student poster, video contest educates the public about recycling
The Professional Recyclers of Pennsylvania (PROP) is holding a statewide recycling poster and video contest for K-12 students, sponsored by the PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Encourage your students to submit:
- An original 8 1/2 x 11 poster demonstrating the environmental benefits of recycling. The top 12 posters will be used in a calendar provided electronically to schools and the public for download and print.
- An original three-to-five-minute video demonstrating which items can be recycled and how. The top scoring videos will receive recognition from the PA DEP secretary and in a press release.
Submissions must be sent to shelly@proprecycles.org by April 22, 2021. All entries will be judged by a panel of PROP members.
