Podcast available: Exploring the World of STEM and Robotics at National Robotics Week
Robots are part of our everyday life, but do kids realize the range of options in careers they could have related to robotics and other STEM subjects? With an increase in the need for qualified candidates to fill jobs in STEM fields, educating today’s students and getting them interested in science, engineering and mathematics is now more important than ever.
iRobot is doing just that by introducing kids of all ages to the robotics field through a week of events around the country designed to get them excited and inspired, introducing them to the possibilities. On a recently released episode of Keystone Education Radio, host Annette Stevenson speaks with Lisa Freed, iRobot’s STEM Program Manager, about National Robotics Week, held every year in April.
