House adopts resolution in recognition of PSBA’s 125th anniversary
The House of Representatives recently adopted House Resolution 863 (Rep. Sonney, R-Erie), recognizing the 125th anniversary of PSBA. The resolution notes that PSBA was established
in 1895 as the first statewide association of school directors in the nation, has provided distinguished service to school directors for 125 years and, through its advocacy on behalf of public education, continues to be a leading voice for public school leaders. House Resolution 863 “applauds the commitment of PSBA for promoting high professional standards, focusing attention on school leaders' challenges, providing a voice for school leaders, building confidence in public education and strengthening the role of school directors.” PSBA thanks the General Assembly and House Education Chairman Rep. Sonney for recognizing the work of the association.
