First celebrated in 1882, Labor Day was established by unions in New York City to celebrate their members with a parade, according to the Constitution Center. This weekend, as we acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of American workers, it’s more apparent than ever the sacrifices that are made to keep our country moving forward.
