Crestwood School District (Luzerne Co.) has been awarded one of eight Siemens FUSE grants, valued at $26,000, to help support STEM learning in the areas of coding, design, 3D printing in addition to skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration. Developed by Northwestern University Learning Sciences in Evanston, IL, FUSE is based on research in alternatives to traditional classroom model and how to organize creative and compelling learning environments.
