Jo Anne Yarnall, West Chester SD (Chester Co.)
Jo Anne was born and raised in West Chester, PA and began driving a school bus for Krapf Bus Company when she was 19 years old. 10 years later she moved into the office as a driver supervisor while still driving when needed. In 1998, West Chester School District brought her on as a contracted Transportation Manager and the district hired her in July of 2000. Jo Anne has worked with many groups, Pa School Bus Association, National School Transportation Association, PASBO, PAEOP, School Solicitors Association, PTAP and the PA School Boards Association. About 4 years ago, she began working with the PA School Boards Association to help revise PTAP into a new, stronger Transportation Forum. All the hard work is finally paying off. The first Symposium was held in Mechanicsburg in June. Our first newsletter is ready and our next training sessions are being set up. So many exciting plans for the future including all the new (and old) faces that are joining us. It would be a pleasure to continue the work to establish the Transportation Forum and build on our new relationships across the state.
