Jim Pearson, Seneca Valley SD (Butler Co.)
Pearson, a Wexford resident, has previous experience as the assistant principal of Deer Lakes Middle School, as well as the assistant principal of Hampton Middle School and the dean of students for Hampton High School. Mr. Pearson has trained and received his Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with school bus and passenger endorsements, and is a member of the National Association for Pupil Transportation, Pupil Transportation Association of Pennsylvania and the Midwestern Pupil Transportation Association.
Additionally, Mr. Pearson has sales, marketing and broadcasting experience as he has a bachelor of arts in communication arts radio and television. He earned his grades 7-12 teaching certification in English and communications from Robert Morris University, and his masters of educational administration from the University of Massachusetts. Mr. Pearson earned his principal certification from Slippery Rock and Clarion universities.
The Seneca Valley School District serves around 8,000 public and non-public students. The district is 100 square miles serving the communities of Cranberry Township, Zelienople, and Evans City, also Forward Township and Lancaster Township.
The district is the first in Butler County to begin a later start for our students in the 2018-2019 school year.
