Join colleagues from across the state to discuss issues relevant to public education through PSBA’s new series of Lunch & Learn audio conferences. Brown bag it for the day and join the audio conference in the convenience of your office or home. This thought-provoking series will offer an informal way to learn more and keep in touch. Quality Afterschool and Summer Programs

March 19, beginning at noon

After school and summer programs offer significant opportunities to keep students safe, inspire learning and help working parents. However, to make these positive differences they must do more than help students complete worksheets, play kick ball and provide a snack. Join Kacy Conley, Director of the Pennsylvania Afterschool /Youth Development Network in a conversation on how school districts can partner in providing accessible, sustainable, quality afterschool and summer programs. The discussion will focus on the following topics:

  • What are others doing? Best practices
  • Who can help? Resource available to school districts.
  • How to start and sustain programs? Funding streams and strategies

Registration refund policy for inservice programs: Refund of registration fee will be made only if cancellation is received at PSBA at least 72 hours in advance of meeting time. Cancellations less than 72 hours prior to the event may be transferred to substitute participants for the same seminar.
