PSBA Boot Camp

Free PSBA Boot Camp training
Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1-4 p.m.

We’re all in this together! Join PSBA for an afternoon of complimentary service training. Originally created for your board’s appointed PSBA liaison, we are opening up Boot Camp to all registered conference school board members and school district administrators.

All members play a crucial role in promoting public education. By participating in Boot Camp, you will be better engaged with PSBA, better prepared to support advocacy efforts and better able to influence student achievement. Working together, we can face and overcome the many challenges of public education today.

Boot Camp is three one-hour presentations on advocacy training, PSBA governance overview and PSBA resources and services. Following the training will be a one and one-half hour region roundtable discussion as part of the new PSBA membership participation initiative. This will allow regions to identify “areas” and plan for regional activity plans. Learn how you can better use and maximize the resources available to you through your PSBA membership to better serve your board, your school district and your students. Registration for this complimentary PSBA Boot Camp is required.

A registration form for Boot Camp will be mailed along with your confirmation once you have registered for conference or can be obtained through your school board secretary.

The registration deadline for Boot Camp is Sept. 30.

• 11 a.m.        Registration opens
• 1-2 p.m.      Advocacy training
• 2-3 p.m.      Governance overview – roles and responsibilities
• 3-4 p.m.      PSBA resources – an overview of the association products and services available to you
• 4-5:30 p.m.  Region roundtable discussions – PSBA Member Participation Initiative
