BuyBoard® Cooperative Purchasing
At PSBA, we understand the harsh financial reality that is currently facing Pennsylvania’s school entities. For years, PSBA has been committed to providing school entities with tools to assist in operating more economically and efficiently. I am proud to announce that PSBA’s commitment continues today as the association has joined NSBA and other state school board associations in offering a national purchasing cooperative to our members called BuyBoard. The concept behind the BuyBoard program is to provide school entities with the ability to save time and money when purchasing products and supplies. Membership in BuyBoard is free and open to all members of PSBA. Once a member, there are no fees and school entities are under no obligation to purchase. That makes BuyBoard a no-cost, risk-free option for your future purchases. I know that many entities currently utilize cooperative buying programs in their area. With BuyBoard, PSBA is able to provide one more option when trying to obtain the lowest purchase price on items that your entity needs. I believe the breadth of the products available and the ease of use of the program will exceed your expectations of a purchasing cooperative. BuyBoard® was created to increase the purchasing power of government entities and to simplify their purchasing by using a customized electronic purchasing system, called the BuyBoard®. BuyBoard® leverages the power of a nationwide network of purchasers to drive down prices of commodities, goods, and services by providing the successful bidder(s) the opportunity for a higher quantity of sales. School districts that are members of the Pennyslvania School Boards Association and other public entities (such as municipalities, counties, colleges and universities) can participate and join.
