Legislative Advocacy Program Cycles

When new legislation passes, PSBA is seen as the leader in analyzing it and helping members make sense of it.

The Cycle of Events

PSBA’s Legislative Action Program is its grassroots advocacy system that brings school directors together to define key issues, target priorities and provide a basic structure for communication with legislators. The framework for the program falls within the PSBA "cycle of events," where each year school directors across the state join together to determine the legislative issues and positions most important to them.

The Legislative Action Council meets following the PSBA Legislative Leadership Conference to vote on the top priorities from those recommended by the county groups.
